The creation of DADS ON DUTY – USA is the result of IMPERFECT MEN and MEN-IN-TRAINING mobilizing, organizing and activating themselves as an EMPOWERMENT COLLECTIVE of:  FATHERS, GRANDFATHERS, EXTENDED FAMILY MEMBERS, GRASSROOTS ADVOCATES, ALUMNI and CLERGY to provide DAILY VILLAGE ASSISTANCE and SUPPORT to the:  administration, staff, security, faculty and students at Southwood High School in Shreveport, LA and other schools throughout the Caddo Parish Public School System.  Our daily objectives at ANY school include:

1.  PROMOTING our PPP Prevention Initiative – Proactive Positive Presence as Youth Empowerment Advocates - YEA

2.  EMPOWERING students to RISE and become GREAT via our EMPOWERMENT: PROGRAMS, PROJECTS, YOUTH EMPOWERMENT SOLUTIONS and YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP TRAINING.

3.  REDUCING and ultimately ELIMINATING YOUTH VIOLENCE in schools and neighborhoods where the students reside, which helps to ELIMINATE the VILLAGE-to-PRISON PIPELINE and SCHOOL-to-PRISON PIPELINE

Our work has garnered local and national attention, including interviews with KSLA News anchor Dominique Benn and CBS journalist Steve Hartman. While the media highlighted our story, the heart of Dads On Duty lies in our daily, off-camera work—mentoring, guiding, and empowering students and communities every day.
