11.  TOXIC RELIGIOUS ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAMMING:  RELIGIOSITY versus SPIRITUALITY.

Without spirituality and the right culture, the daily reality for every child—regardless of age, ethnicity, or gender—is a fractured and unstable village foundation. This fractured foundation is at the root of the village-to-prison and school-to-prison pipelines.

it Begins in the mind.

This fractured foundation allows the philosophy of individualism (I/My/Me) to dominate, promoting unethical and immoral behavior that negatively influences individuals worldwide. Without a counter-philosophy of collectivism (Us/Our/We) to promote ethical and moral conduct, humanity risks continued decline.

The solution is clear: the creation of Ujima Empowerment Villages worldwide. Ujima, a Swahili term and the third principle of Kwanzaa, means collective work and responsibility. To save humanity, grassroots communities must mobilize, organize, and build Ujima Empowerment Villages guided by the Six Pillars of Empowerment from GET UP Inc.:

  1. Spirituality

  2. Right Culture

  3. Education

  4. Economics

  5. Socio-nomics

  6. Politics

There is no alternative—empowerment and collective responsibility are the only path forward.

Power.

The ability to define reality, and have others respond to your definition as if it were their own.
